Rotary Inductive Sensor Detects 360 Degree Angles
Minneapolis—TURCK announces the availability of a new inductive analog sensor that provides a 360 degree angular measurement. The rotary inductive sensors utilize resistance inductive capacitance (RLC) measuring technology rather than a magnetic positioning element, resulting in a sensor that is completely immune to EMC interference.
TURCK's rotary inductive sensors are IP67 rated with a temperature range -40 to 70 °C, making the devices perfect for measuring the angle of solar panels, wind turbines, crane position, and other outdoor applications. The sensor and its positioning element are separate pieces, so that the positioning element may be mounted in a variety of unique ways, such as directly on to a rotating shaft, without experiencing the wear common to these types of sensors.
